Forty-Four Nominations For Wilmington Handicap DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 17. — Forty-four nominations were received for Delaware Parks six-furlong Wilmington Handicap, the 0,000 fixture which_ will again serve as the opening day feature come May 29. The. candidates announced today by racing secretary-handicapper J. Gilbert Haus, included Mrs. Andy Schuttingers Ferd, Mrs. Esther DuPont Weirs Royal Governor, Henry H. Hechts The Pincher, James C Bradys. Casemate, Brookmeade Stables Bold and More Sun, Brookfield Farms Istan, F. Ambrose Clarks Tea-Maker, Sam A. Mason ri.s To Market, Rokeby Stables County Delight, Woolford Farms Delegate. Also Fred W. Hoopers Ocean Drive, Max Glucks Symposium, Foxcatcher Farms Rose Beam, David G. Neumans "Woodford Sir, E. M. OBriens Miss Degree, Llangollen Farms Singing Step, King Ranchs Curando, Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords Suleiman, Belair Studs Hyphasis,.W. G. Helis, Jr.s, Valpam, and others. Royal Governor, the seven-year-old veteran of both sprints and distance races, will be seeking a second triumph in the Wilmington. He won it in 1949 and his time of 1:10% was the fastest ever made in the stake.
