WILD HEIRESS began fast, raced prominently throughout and had no mishap. WAZA WANA, forced to take up sharply when roughed nearing the stretch, closed fast when clear. SPARKLEE had early speed. GAY LIBERTY, a sharp factor from the beginning, raced BYRONIC into defeat before reaching the stretch, then drewclear under brisk urging. ALUN lacked early speed, saved ground during the drive, but could not get to the winner. BYRONIC began fast, raced with GAY LIBERTY to the stretch, then weakened. LITTLE BABOO could riot get to the leaders when hard Urged during the drive. CONVALESCENT had no mishap. GOLDEN BOLT, on the outside in the run to the upper turn, war sent to the inside for the stretch run and made a mild bid while racing in close quarters. FERRY PILOT was never dangerous. RIGHT JAB saved ground and raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, swerving under punishment, disposed of the leaders in the last sixteenth. CONVICTED, never far back established a clear lead when settled in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. PLAY EDA finished fast in a good effort. AIR PATROL was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, but faltered when challenged by CONVICTED. HALS LINDA raced evenly and had no excuse. DARK FILANTE was never a serious threat. THAT AINT HAY was sent to the front after WHENAS AND IF bolted, established a clear lead and won with something left MINNESINGER, raced evenly to the stretch, finished well but could not threaten the top one PABLIM lacked early speed and passed tired horses in the drive. TEN GALLON HAT failed to rally when set down through the stretch. TITLED MISS tired after racing well to the stretch. FULL PLATTER could not keep up. JEB had early foot but failed to stay. GOOD AND LUCKY showed nothing. ORPHAN DOC raced wide. BRONZE WITCH was eased to avoid striking the prone DOCEAN. The* latter made a good bid entering the stretch, weakened thereafter and fell at the I sixteenth post. WHENAS AND IF hustled to the front before going a furlong, then-bolted to the outer rail.
