New Jersey Notes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 19. Trainer E. W. King this morning sent Playful Lady, Prefect and Screen Star to a nearby farm, where they will be turned out until the Monmouth Park meeting. Ammardee, a young racer owned and trained by G. M. Odom, was vanned in from Belmont Park on Sunday. Veteran jockey Gayle Smith donned silks for the first time this season at Garden State Park Thursday, and clicked with Dik Dik, a 1.20 winner, in thesecond race. Smith was aboard Wait-A-Bit in the famous triple dead-heat in the Garter Handicap at Aqueduct on June 10, 1944. The other two in the outstanding finish were Brownie, with Eric Guerin up, and Bossuet, ridden by Jimmy Stout. Hal Price Headleys Cajun came in this morning from Belmont Park to join the large division of racers maintained by the Kentucky sportsman at this course. Cajun, a three-year-old Menow colt, is nominated to the 0,000 added Jersey Stakes, to be run on May 31. Cary C. Boshamers two-year-old filly, Late Model, scored in her first start this week at Garden State Park, qualifying impressively for the 0,000 Rancocas Stakes which is down for renewal on May 21. French Room, from the Bwamazon Farm, another eligible miss, was only a nose behind the winner. Col. F. Jerome McNulty, owner of the Cross Bell Ranch Stable, will check in Garden State Park on May 22. His charges, under the care of trainer Hugh Fontaine, have chalked up one win and two seconds In four starts during the current meeting. Col. and Mrs. "McNulty maintain homes in New York and Palm Beach.
