Consistent Easy Homer Accorded Beulah Edge Five Winners at Central Ohio Track Among His Seven Rivals By HUGH J. McGUIRE Staff Correspondent BEULAH PARK, Grove City Ohio, May 19— In the featured Eastwood Storage Purse at this central Ohio course tomorrow, five of the eight entrants named to contest over the mile distance have been a winner at this meeting an another was a creditable: second. Fashioned under allowance condi- I tions, the race shapes up as one likely to provide keen competition. Limit fields are | found in most of the supporting races and in each of these are matched rivals who have been winners or close up at the" end of* their previous races this session. In the headliner, Easy Homer, from the stable of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Triplett, may move up a notch over his latest effort that found him a smashing second to Mr. Monica in a six furlongs event. He finished boldly in that venture to be beaten only a half length and left the impression that the longer distance here would be to his advantage. Polante Boy, who races for W. M. Wells, was a well beaten third hi that same race but be belongs with adversaries- of this type and may show improvement. The track was sloppy on that occasion and a change in track conditions might be instrumental in producing a better showing. Gift Maedic from the stable of S. Giammarco, toyed with his opposition to record a five length tally at last asking at the one mile distance and over a slow track. He is stepping up a little in quality of competition but the ease with which he accomplished his victory compels recognition for. his chance here. Other winners at the meeting who will attempt to repeat in the feature are Wooten and Schantz Car-Par, Clermont Frrms Black Norlig and Al Smithas Duskys First.
