James Cox Brady Is Elected President of Jersey Breeders GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J. May 19.— James Cox Brady, a leading figure of the American turf, was elected president of the Thoroughbred Horse Breeders Association of New Jersey at a meeting of the members held in the directors room here at Garden State Park prior to this afternoon racing. Brady succeeds L. C. Vannan to the presidency, has bred and raced a number of outstanding thoroughbreds during recent years, including last years, successful hurdle and steeplechaser, Boom Boom, and the three-year-old filly, Landmark, who unfortunately, was unable to fill her engagement in todays Betsy Ross Stakes due to a. slight coughing. Other officers elected were H. L. Mach-ado and David O. Evans, vice-presidents: Jean A. Chianese, secretary; Mark M. Jones, treasurer, and G. Barker Seeley, Jr., field secretary. Elected as trustees and members of the board were F. Wallis Armstrong, Jr., Alfred de Cozen, John J. De-laney, Chas. F. H. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. W. W. Vaughan and L. C. Vannan.
