Ruhe, who finally broke the ice in winning r the Narcissus Handicap here after 1 having notched a series of seconds, is the 1 high weight in the Lincoln with 113 pounds, which is two pounds more than that to be J toted by Seaward, and three pounds more t than Inseparable. Ruhe, purchased by I Hasty House from Mrs. Emil Denemark a f few months ago, looked very good in taking i the Narcissus, and Johnny Adams, who t piloted him in that affair, will be back in t the saddle. c 5 Seaward Scored in Ben Ali Seaward, who was second to Ruhe in the * Narcissus, defeated that colt early in the . s season in the Ben Ali Handicap at Keene-land. 1 Both the Narcissus and Ben Ali were a at one and one-sixteenth miles, while to- morrows feature is at one and one-quarter » miles. The seven-year-old finished fourth i! in the Lincoln last season, but won the Hawthorne Gold Cup at the same distance. He also finished first in the mile and a an eighth Buckeye Handicap at Randall l Park, Ohio. 1 Inseparable has been third in the Lincoln s f for the past two seasons. His last effort , here I was a winning one when he beat Abbe Sting c and Challcote in the mile and a six- teenth * Sweeping Light Purse. Prior to that £ y he was third to Andy B. W. and Tattenham 1 ■ in the Edward J. Fleming Handicap, a race i] in which Seaward finished fifth. He has v won one race in 10 starts this year. His * b best race of last season was in the Trenton * I Handicap at Garden State when he was * b beaten narrowly by Call Over and finished J v in front of Post Card and Hill Prince. West to Ride Pur Sang t Pur Sang, who is in the Lincoln with 107 1 F pounds and will be ridden by the Detroit J1 jockey, Jerry West, recently scored a sur- 1 F prise victory over the highly regarded filly, t £ Sickles Image, at the Motor City track. The c f filly had beaten him by over three lengths t in a previous contest. Pur Sang, who had a rather : rigorous campaign on California c I tracks early this year, is winner of two races s l] in 12 starts, his other triumph coming in a c six-furlong ■ dash over a muddy track at c C Golden Gate Fields.
