SCIMITAR, allowed to settle into best stride, joined the leaders from the outside and drew clear in the late stages. MERRYMAKER raced forwardly placed, was caught in close quarters in the early stretch and closed well. BLUE CAMP showed an even effort to finish in a head-heat with BALLYNEETY. The latter showed gcod speed to set the pace and weakened. BIG FLOWER gave way in the drive while racing with the leaders. JACKADANDY quit badly. Scratched— 56384 Spring Grove, 114; Adrastus, 114. MY GOOD MAN assumed command between calls, but was not good enough. RANK set the pace much of the distance and continued on well. BRIMFUL outfinished the others. REPOSE lacked a rally. TIME FOR FUN held a favorable position, but was unable to respond when hard urged. NIGHT MUSIC dueled for the early lead and quit.
