TOMI BLU was hustled to the front early, established a clear lead entering the stretch and was ridden out to retain the advantage. SIR HOOP, never far back, finished willingly, but could not reach the winner, although much the best of the others. MIKEABY lacked early speed, but closed well enough to dead-heat with ELI COOKIE for third. ELI COOKIE raced evenly to the stretch and lasted to finish on equal terms with MIKEABY. PRANDIUM tired after showing early speed. FRED B. was outrun. SPEEDY GOLD failed to stay after displaying early speed. BOLD BANDIT, well handled, assumed command at once, made the pace to the stretch under steady rating, then responded readily when set down for the drive and held CAPTAIN FIN safe. CAPTAIN FIN, a sharp factor from the start, raced nearest BOLD BANDIT after the start, finished determinedly, but could not overtake the top one. PIXIE PAT lacked his usual early speed, made up ground steadily and dead-heated CONNIE-JO for third. CONNIE-JO, never far back, was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch, but lasted to finish on equal terms with PIXIE PAT for third. LILAC began slowly and was never dangerous. VESSAIRESS could not keep up. MISTER MAC raced well for a half mile, then tired. CHEVRON ACE raced wide. Scratched— 59657 Mr. Feathers, 111; 596573 Johns Baby, 106; 59188 Quick Rate, 106. WINDSOR PARK gradually worked way forward, responded to punishment during the stretch run and, disposing of the leaders, won going away CLARA PATRICIA raced nearest FLYING TASSLE until inside the stretch, finished willingly under urging, but was unable to stay with the winner. FLYING TASSLE assumed an early lead, made the pace until near the finish, then weakened. ADVANCE-CROSS lacked early speed. BEILTRO could not keep up. SON JOSS saved ground throughout, but could not threaten the leaders. GAY N FRISKY began fast, raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. INDISPOSED had a rough race. FLEETRIDGE lacked early speed, * worked way forward after the initial quarter mile and, after taking command in the stretch, withstood a brisk drive to hold BILLCELLA safe. The latter, in hand to the last three-eighths, reached the lead at the stretch turn, continued gamely under punishment, but was unable to hold the winner. MYSTERY MAN, forwardly placed from the outset, gave a sharp effort and had no mishap. FONDEST HOPE was unable to better his position when set down through the stretch. RICHAVOO was outrun. SULTANPEPPER began slowly. WAR BOOTY could not keep up. MIARIELJOE was sent to the front at the start, made the pace for five-eighths mile, then gave way. Richavoo claimed by T. KING WILSON raced LUCKY CHIPS into defeat before reaching the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and lasted to hold FLASHY KAY safe. The latter, outrun early, raced wide into the stretch, finished strongly when straightened for the drive and was getting to the top one at the finish. FOURTEEN GRAND, far back to the stretch, closed strongly under brisk urging. EAST HILL tired during the stretch run. LUCKY CHIPS engaged KING WILSON until inside the stretch, then weakened. SIR COBO was never dangerous. DOUBLE 0. showed nothing. BIDANDMADE was through after a half mile. LULLABY TIME was through early. HOMING PIGEON showed nothing. ALMENOW raced evenly to the stretch, was taken to the middle of the track for the drive and, responding to punishment, wore down the leaders during the last sixteenth. WILL YOU DANCE lacked early speed, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run while racing next the inner rail, but could not withstand the winner. TRAVELER was hustled to the front early, engaged DEAR TINT to the final furlong, then faltered, DEAR TINT, away fast, raced with TRAVELER to the last eighth, then weakened, but finished in a dead-heat with BEE LEE TEE for fourth. BEE LEE TEE closed strongly under urging to be on equal terms with DEAR TINT for fourth. MISS BOBBIN lacked racing room during the final furlong and could not get to the leaders.
