WHIZ-A-BIT was close to the pace from the start and, catching CHUCKALONG after entering the last furlong, had enough left to hold RAIDER LaRUE. The latter raced on the outside during the first half mile, then cut to the inside of the leaders after entering the stretch and was aaining at the end. FLATBUSH was outrun to the stretch, then closed ground. TANGENT was going well at the end. CHUCKALONG tired in the last eighth. OSWEGO DR. finished gamely. FAIR PORTER was unable to keep up with the early pace and dropped farther back in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same JANES GAL, a slow starter, trailed the field to the far turn, then made a strong run on the inside to reach a contending position and, corfring to the outside of the leaders in the stretch, forged to the front after entering the final eighth and bested OBTAIN. The latter made a move on the stretch turn and held on well. ROSY GREEK rushed to contention on the stretch turn and went fairly well thereafter. S0R0 weakened in the final eighth. SPEEDY JET dashed up on the outside soon after the start and, taking command on the stretch turn, opened up on his opponents, but was under mild urging at the end to hold sway DREAM CREAM was outrun to the stretch, then came to the middle of the track to close with good courage. PANACHE got to the front after going three-sixteenths and held on fairly well in the final drive. CHEROKEE PILOT hadhe most early speed and also displayed a fair brand of courage in the final drive. HIGH FLAVOR, close to the pace and in mild reserve for the first three-eighths, moved to take command after entering the stretch and shook off OBSTINATE SI, but was forced to the utmost to hold SLUMBERLAND. The latter was in rather tight quarters around the far turn, but continued well and was gaining fast. OBSTINATE SI took a short lead after leaving the backstretch, but raced wide in the stretch. AURORA DEB went evenly. BAMBI LYNNE was never a contender in a weak effort. LADY TOY tired. BELCON and PARK PIGEON were badly outrun. SHANE lacked early speed and was outrun in the first part, but made up ground gradually to finish strongly. HOBAD was a fairly good contender all the way and went evenly to the finish. SUN DAVID went to the front of LILLY VALENTI nearing the stretch turn to draw out when straightened away for home and was put to a drive in the last sixteenth, although not in serious danger. DRY RUN made a fair move after entering the final furlong to easily dispose of the others. ROYAL MUSTANG was well up from the start and went wide on the stretch turn. CAC0M0 was badly outrun for half the distance, but finished with good courage on the inside. THE GINK was never a contender and raced wide in the stretch. LILLY VALENTI tired badly in the run home. The latter was unable to .keep up early, but finished very fast and was gaining rapidly. FLAMING BUSH had something removed while making the pace and had little left. EL PACHO went evenly in a fair effort. BIG INCH passed weakening tiorses. TIGER HARRIS attempted to bolt to the outside after taking a couple of strides with the field and had little chance, although making up ground. ALMA B. was never a threat and quit badly.
