Won driving; second and third the same. SISTER COHEN was far back while unhurried, came through on the rail when gaining best stride the final three-sixteenths, took command midway of the concluding furlong and just lasted over THORIS. The latter dropped back on the turn while bearing out badly, came again on the outside in tjie drive and just missed. ETERNAL BETSY also closed resolutely after a slow beginning. JOY K. displayed good speed and tired the final sixteenths mile. SWEET GODDESS swung wide leaving the turn and weakened in the drive. FIT FIDDLE was prominent on the rait, forged through on the inside to dispose of the leaders and drew clear. MIRTHFUL vied for the lead from the start and held on gamely but was not good enough. LE GAULOIS moved up on the outside to gain command in the stretch and faltered. REPUDIATE bore out through the stretch and laid against RINGGOLDIAN. The latter was bothered slightly through the stretch and lacked a rally. FRENCH QUARTER had speed and tired. KATHY MENDEL bore in through the stretch when tiring. CRYSTAL BOOT was briskly handled along the backstretch and on the turn, was forced to go wide to make his bid in the stretch and outgamed MUCHO MAS. The latter moved through on the rail in the stretch, took command between calls in the final furlonq and shortened stride nearing the end. TOP SPRING was forced to race slightly wide while prominent, gained command briefly and tired in the concluding furlong. FAMILY MAN had no excuse. FAIR SELF tired after dueling for the lead until midstretch. EVANS UNTAIN lacked speed. HEAVENLY HASH was used up dueling for command. ERASER quit when unabl* to draw into a clear lead. DARK ROYAL went up to be closest to the pace nearing the turn, came in when clear on the turn, took command in the stretch and lasted over MODEST PETE. The latter lacked speed to remain prominent on the turn, then closed with a belated rush JINGLER crossed over sharply after the start, drew into a long lead before a quarter mile, held on fairly well when headed in the stretch, but shortened strides nearing the end. PRINCE CHARLIE was bothered at the start. POMPANO saved ground and lacked a rally. HUESO was knocked back at the start. COCKFIELD showed little BERENDO was shuffled back midway of the backstretch. CLIVE OF INDIA, away slowest, went into command before a quarter mile, could not match strides when threatened for command and made a bad landing at the ninth obstacle.
