Mikells Brush Burn, a three-year-old son of Bernborough who was acquired from the Samuel D. Riddle dis-. persal sale last summer, accomplished his second successive victory here this afternoon in the featured Stuyvesant Purse. Edward D. Axtons Gray Challenge was three and one-half lengths behind the winner and just a half length before Christiana Stables Andre. Brandywine Stables War-" path, an even-money choice with the crowd of about 10,300 finished fourth, with William P. Foleys Huntsville the trailer. Scoring his second impressive triumph since being altered, Brush Burn was well handled by Danny Johnston and completed the mile and a sixteenth in 1:45. He returned .00 while earning a starting posi-, tion in the impending Leonard Richards Stakes. Overhead conditions were cloudy throughout the afternoon, with a storm a definite threat. Huntsville Sets Pace Huntsville, younger brother of the sensational Woodchuck, sprinted into a six-s length lead in the opening quarter and held an advantage of eight lengths as he breezed past the half-mile marker. War-f path was in closest attendance at that point, followed by Brush Burn. He continued to allow the Mikell colorbearer to roll along» and the team was within a length and a half of the leader with but a quarter of a mile to travel. Brush Burn bounded to the fore with ease entering the stretch, then was roused sharply to attain a clear lead, one which enabled him to easily turn back the menace Gray Challenge, who had rallied well. The latter was all out to save the place over Andre, as Warpath faded in the late stages. Huntsville stopped to a walk in the final quarter, indicating that, while he may lack the class of his full-brother, he seems to be very much along the same lines of that fleet sprinter. Forjn followers suffered in the fourth race when Ella K. Brysons six-to-five favorite, Bullow, finished first, only to be disqualified for having bothered several .horses while drifting out in the backstretch. The ultimate winner was Anita Colts Ina-name.
