June 19. — Chris Wood, Jr., a member of Monmouth Parks official family and field director of the United Hunts Racing Association, leaves for Chicago this week-end. is to officiate at the inaugural meeting of the Arlington Farms Steeplechase Association and later confer with Arlington Park officials on their midwest hurdles program of races. The latter will be run Friday, July 27 and will conclude the midwest hurdle and steeplechase season.
