SAM McAFEE reached near even terms with the winner at the furlong marker, tired when punished and though not good enough for the top one, easily bested the others. U. S. KNIGHT raced evenly through the late stages without apparent mishap. SAILOR LAD, much used early, had little left. K AVENUE raced wide. JOLISAM quit. LITTLE COLLEEN never threatened. ISOGRADE, slow to attain best stride, was compelled to take the complete overland route when making her belated rally. GREAT FUN tired when punished. DIAMOND HEAD had no mishap.
