- l - , r , Heavy Response to First Three Arlington Stakes Everett Jr. Among Nominations For Primer on Opening Program ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 15.— •A, heavy response by horsemen to Arlington Parks first three stakes events, the Primer, Artful and Equipoise Mile, to be run during the first week of the summer meeting, which opens Monday, was revealed today by racing secretary Frank E. "Jimmy" Kilroe. Kilroe pointed out that the final tally of nominees would not be available until Wednesday, but that all fields were very strong. The three stakes represent the beginning of Arlington Parks 90,000 stakes program, which continues with another 20,-000 in added money at Washington Park. The 5,000 Primer Stakes for two-year-olds at five and a half furlongs opens the parade on Monday, June 22, followed by the 5,000 Artful Stakes for three-year-old fillies on Wednesday, June 24, and the 0,000 added Equipoise Mile on Saturday, June 27. One of the foremost eligibles for the Primer is Everett, Jr., owned by Everett Lowrance. This juvenile colt already has accounted for six victories, three of them stakes, in his initial season. He won a division of the Duncan Kenner and the Joliet Stakes and won the Lafayette at Keeneland. Heaviest nominator to the Primer to date is Sam E. Wilson, Jr., who has named Alsab Ace, Dago Red, Red Ace and Tenacious. Hasty House Farm, owned by Allie Reuben, has named three— Hasty Road, Queen Hopeful, second to Jay Jay Gee in. the Miss America Stakes, and Sea OErin. Others to nominate at the early report were F. W. Hooper with Applicable and Hoop Ring, Milton Resseguet with Practical and Duntreath Farm with Red Cardinal. Dixiana named Two Fisted.
