New Zealand Filly, Far Afield, Arrives in California WILMINGTON, Calif., June 15.— Par Afield, a brown two-year-old filly by Gold Nib — Cairness, by Tiderace, arrived here today aboard the S. S. Alemeda from New Zealand. The filly, owned by Mr. and Mrs. John DeBlois Wack of Santa Barbara, will be turned out for a few weeks at their Yolo Farm and will then be picked up and prepared for the Del Mar meeting which opens July .25. The highly rated juvenile is to be pointed for the Del Mar Debutante, the climactic fixture for first-year fillies at the seaside oval.
