JIM BRANCH, taken back off the pace and steadied until the final guarter mile, moved between horses to vie for the lead, bore in slightly, was straightened and had to be hard ridden to outfinish EVER LOVJN. The latter came inside to take command when ready, drew clear and offered stubborn opposition in the late stages. VIVIANS BEST, unhurried early while outrun, moved readily on the final turn, neared the leaders," but was not good enough. CLICK was going stoutly at the end. ARCTIC IKE, forwardly placed along the inside under stout restraint, was clear entring the stretch, passed faltering leaders to take command and withstood the late challenges. WEE FOURS came outside on the final turn, responded to steady pressure and was pressing at the end. BLUE FEDORA, taken back off the pace and placed under stout restraint to the final turn, came wide when urged and closed with good energy. FLOOR BOSS faltered after a brief challenge. LONG GONE drew clear after a guarter mile, increased his advantage into the stretch and weakened. TEXAS REWARD, sluggish in the early stages, was blocked on the final turn. MISS STONE had no mishap. BINKY B. broke alertly, showed speed for a guarter mile and weakened. DAUNTEDID stopped.
