Mi mi Mine Works Speedy Fiye Furlongs in :593/s HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., June 15. —Reverie Knoll Farms Smoke Screen on Sunday, and M. A. and Roy Saffirs Dr. Ole Nelson this morning turned in good trials for their forthcoming engagements in the 0,000 Lincoln Handicap next Saturday. Smoke Screen worked a mile handily in 1:40and, while Dr. Ole Nelsons seven furlongs were covered in 1:28, handily. However, it was Mrs. Herbert Herff s three-year-old filly Mimi Mine who attracted the most attention this morning. The Memphis-owned filly clicked off five-eighths in :59%, which is only the fractional part slower than the " Hawthorne track record established by Sarah Elizabeth in 1923 and equaled by Biddy Jane last year in the Miss American Stakes.
