Woodley Lane Red Hannigans Owner ThreeWay Partnership PartnershipWOODLEY WOODLEY LANE FARM owners of Red Hannigan is the nom de course of a three way partnership Joe Straus Lafayette Ward and Steven B Wilson Messrs Straus and Ward are from San Antonio Texas while E Wilson is from Providence Rhode Island To complicate the geography a bit Woodley Lane is a farm which Wilson owns near Washington D C Wilson man ¬ ufactures oil filters which are distributed by Straus who also is in the cattle busi ¬ ness while Ward is both a cattle and rice grower Red Hannigan was purchased at the Keeneland sales as a yearling for 11 000 by the Woodley Lane combine Straus is a Kentucky breeder maintaining several mares at Dr Eslie Asburys farm near Car ¬ lisle He also has shares in the I Will and Revoked stallion syndicates Needless to say Red Hannigan is Woodley Lanes first Derby starter
