Trotsek Man With the Iron Nerves Had Oil Capitol in 50 50HARRY HARRY TROTSEK trainer of Hasty Road will be saddling his second Derby starter in this 80th running of the famed Kentucky classic a much wiser Derby man than he was when he saddled his first Oil Capitol for Tom Gray back in 1950 Trotsek seemingly has nerves of iron for he is remarkable among his fellow trainers in always remaining unruffled no matter what happens The nearest thing he ever had to nerves however was with Oil Capitol who was coming up to the Derby with four threequarter shoes In other words all four feet were a bit delicate at that time and Trotsek had to use extreme care Trotsek later became ill and had to leave the race track for a period of several months Upon his return he hooked up with Mr and Mrs Allie Reuben and as the saying goes he has been doing nothing but good ever since Trotsek is a native of Illinois came around the race track as a wouldbe jockey but never got very far in that profession When he turned to the care of thoroughbreds and training he dis ¬ played great natural talent and his rise in prestige lias been steady
