Derby WeatherUsuollyGoddr ft 7 vyr3 3f V VCHURCHILL CHURCHILL DOWN Louisville Ky April 30 Derby Day weather for the past two decades has been decidedly favorable although showers have sprinkled the over ¬ flowing crowds on some occasions One of the wettest 24hour periods in Churchill Downs and Derby history was on May 18 1929 when 119 inches of moisture fell on the day that Clyde Van Dusen defeated 20 other threeyearolds in the big event after leading his rivals for the major portion of the mile and onequarter journey over a muddy track in 77 degree temperature
