Second ThistleDown Book Contains Slight Reductions THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 11. The second issue of the ThistleDown condition book is off the press and it shows a slight reduction in the purse structures. From Monday on through the end of the meeting all ,000 claiming races, either short or long, will carry a ,600 purse instead of ,800, which was the minimum decided upon for the first book. The other purses remain the same. General manager Lou Pondfield said that this will mean a reduction of about 00 daily for the remainder of the meeting.
