Proposal to Be Submitted To Shareholders of MRA DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 11. President Dale Shaffer, of the Michigan Racng Association, announced today that a shareholders meeting will be held on June 21, 1954 to approve or disapprove the following proposal. A proposal has been submitted to shareholders which includes the following: "a To sell the real property of the MRA on or before October 1, 1954, to I Irving Golden, of Detroit, and associates, all of whom are Michigan residents. "b The MRA will lease the property from the new owners for a term of 20 years to operate the race track, with an option to renew the lease through September 30, 1998. "c MRA will continue to manage and operate the Detroit Race Course, as it has in the past with complete control."
