, , i , Blum Leaves for Monmouth THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio. June 11. Walter Blum, one of the leading apprentice riders in the country, departed for Monmouth Park following todays racing. He plans to ride at the Jersey track throughout the meeting and will then report to his contract employer, Hirsch Jacobs, in New York. Blum had been leased to Wilmer C. Ensor for the ThistleDown meeting, but the Cockeysville, Md., sportsman gave the boy his contract back when Blum expressed a desire to be closer to his Brooklyn home.
