Baird Astride Five Winners DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 11. Jockey Robert Lee Baird, Huntsville, Texas-born reinsman, starred in the saddle here Thursday afternoon, successfully piloting five of his mounts. Baird started off with a victory astride James Paddocks Teachers Tu in the third event, then followed that accounting with three straight trips to the winners ring; Mrs. G. C. Whites Controversity in the fourth, A. P. Giordanos Little Don G. in the fifth and the G and G Stables Eternal Goin in the sixth. Baird was unplaced with War Token in the seventh race, but hustled John M. Harts La Mothe home first in the one mile and one-sixteenth eighth. ;
