OHIO STATE DERBY JULY 6 CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 31. The ninth running of the Ohio State Derby, ,000 added, is expected to attract one of the classiest fields yet to assemble at the barrier in the annual classic which is decided at Bainbridge Park. The race, at a mile and a furlong, is to be run on Saturday, July 6, the closing day of the current thirty-three day meeting," with the nominations closing on Saturday, June 29. Racing secretary Leigh announces the receipt of the following nominations to date, which form a very classy nucleus at this time: Roman Soldier, Moratorium, Sun Portland, Transmutable, Tearout, McCarthy,. Blue Armor, Gallaclay .and Dark Woman.
