HIGH GAME took command soon after the start, entered the stretch with a clear lead and drew out to win with speed in reserve. HAPPYS SAM began fast, but dropped back after the break and raced evenly to the stretch, finished determinedly when set down in the drive, but could not threaten the top one, although easily best of the others. BOSTON MON lacked early speed. PERT CHIC could not keep up. MEY LU LU tired after racing nearest HIGH GAME to the final furlong. DRIVE OVER disliked the heavy track. AK PRINCESS gave way after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. FAIR DEALER raced wide. KICKERINOS could not keep up. MISS STORY showed nothing. KEN JIM was through early. EVEN STROKE, well placed from the start, settled in the stretch with a good lead, but was vigorously handled during the late stages to increase the advantage. WISE PENNY saved ground while improving position to the stretch, was unable to reach the winner, but held on gamely to best the others. JEFFRI K., forced wide entering the stretch, closed willingly when straightened for the drive. WHY STEP lacked early speed and was never dangerous to the leaders. JUST A MOMENT showed little. MAN OF QUEST tired after showing speed to the stretch. JIMMIES GEM had no mishap. LADY RAMON had early speed but failed to stay. CONDIBIT raced far back throughout. BEAUTY raced within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track into the better going for the drive and closing fast under strong handling, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. LOCHY, well placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run but was unable to hold the top one. CHIMAPHILA raced with WILLOW JADE to the stretch, was in the deepest going next to the inner rail during the drive and, after taking command, failed to stay. JOFIELD began sluggishly. WILLOW JADE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch underpressure from CIMAPHILA but had nothing left for the drive. HASTY SUN disliked the heavy tracK SON AL could not keep up. EASY PADDY, well handled, went to the front at once, set the pace to the stretch under steady rating, then responded to mild urging and won going away: SPEED 0 LIGHT, outrun to the last three-eighths mile, closed resolutely under urging, but could not get to the top one. ENDON raced well until inside the stretch, then faltered. COW TOWN failed to stay after displaying early speed. MY FAULT could not keep up. Scratched— 50463 Vantage, 114. HUNT PLATE raced with HARVEST TIME after the start, disposed of the latter during the stretch run and, after stumbling, came again to hold DANGEROUS DAN safe. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, was taken to the outside for the drive and closed fast, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. HARVEST TIME went to the front early, set the pace to the final furlong, then faltered when challenged by HUNT PLATE. ROYAL BONES, well placed early, raced in the deepest going during the drive, then faltered. ROSE OF GREY was outrun and had no excuse. CRAFTY SLEUTH was never dangerous. CHRIS ALMO began poorly.
