Tops Nominations of Brookmeade Stable for Arlington Stakes. .. : ft Racing- Secretary Charles McLennan Now Compiling List of Entries for Rich Fix-; tures Which Closed Saturday. The mighty Cavalcade topped the -numerous nominations of the Brookmeade Stable made for the Arlington Park Stakes before they closed Saturday. Racing secretary Charles J. McLennan and his staff are ribw compiling the entries for the 0,000 added classic, 0,000 added Arlington and Stars and -Stripes Handicaps and ,000 added Hyde Park Stakes and will announce the complete lists within a short time. Cavalcade, whose first and last victories were scored at Chicagos leading track on. the north side, was named l3y trainer Robert A. Smith for the Arlington Handicap, which is over the mile and a quarter distance and annually brings together the outstanding older horses in the country. Good Goods is another eligible for this event from the racing establishment of Mrs. Isabel Dodge Sloane. , The four-year-old son of Lancegaye and Hastily, deprived of the chance to show his prowess in the Suburban Handicap because of unseating his rider at the start, has enjoyed good fortune at Arlington Park, scoring the first victory of his spectacular career in the Hyde Park Stakes and reaching new heights of fame through the sensational manner in which he accounted for last summers running of the Classic. For the 1935 renewal of the Classic Brookmeade has entered the fleet Psychic Bid. The Hopeful Stakes winner also was nominated in the Stars and Stripes Handicap along with Good Goods and Okapi. Four of Mrs. Sloanes most promising two-year-olds are nominees for the Hyde Park Stakes; including Delphinium, a recent winner at Belmont Park in handy fashion. Delphinium a son of Blue Larkspur and Multiflora, is a half brother to Helianthus, which won numerous important races in the popular Brookmeade silks. . v " . .
