Albert Morgan promising apprentice under contract to J. C. Ellis of Owensboro, Ky., won the f irst race of his career when he guided Jonnie; Nuchols to victory in the fifth race Saturday. The youngster was supplied by Olin- Johnson, who turned out Paul Cleliand. Ellis obtained Morgans contract from C. E. Dale. Trainer Willie Crump reports The Mauler, which represented Mrs. Silas B. Mason in the Latonia Derby, would remain here to fill his other engagements at the Milldale course. John Marcum, three-year-old in the stable of W. E. Knebelkamp, was stricken with a hemorrhage while breezing Sunday morning. Jockey Willie Garners suspension terminated and he returned to the saddle Monday. .
