Canfield incurred the displeasure of the stewards in the stretch run in , the seventh race " while astride Fiji and was suspended ten days for his act and Fiji was disqualified after leading Safe and 3ound past the finishing line by a nose. First Entry, outstanding performer, in the stable of George Morris of Lexington Ky., has gone amiss. The mishap occurred in his last engagement. The colt will be sent to the farm of G. W. Carrick of Georgetown, Ky. Jockey Leslie Pichon resumed riding Monday after serving a five day suspension. Pichon filled engagements on four mounts. Albert Morgan promising apprentice under contract to J. C. Ellis of Owensboro, Ky., won the f irst race of his career when he guided Jonnie; Nuchols to victory in the fifth race Saturday. The youngster was supplied by Olin- Johnson, who turned out Paul Cleliand. Ellis obtained Morgans contract from C. E. Dale. Trainer Willie Crump reports The Mauler, which represented Mrs. Silas B. Mason in the Latonia Derby, would remain here to fill his other engagements at the Milldale course. John Marcum, three-year-old in the stable of W. E. Knebelkamp, was stricken with a hemorrhage while breezing Sunday morning. Jockey Willie Garners suspension terminated and he returned to the saddle Monday. .
