VETERAN TANNERY KILLED SALEM, N. H., June 3. Tannery, -Bill Weants eight-year-old, one of the choices in the Kentucky Derby as a three-year-old, was killed today when he crashed into the rail. Apprentice E. Hayward, who was riding him at the time, escaped injury.
