OMAHA TURF NOTES $ and Johnny Goodman, Omahas entry in the National Open Golf Tourney, was a visitor at Ak-Sar-Ben before his departure. A. M. Jacobus, veteran trainer, came in from Kansas City and will remain here throughout the current meeting John Thorwald, radio station owner of Dallas, Texas, and also owner of the Skall Stable, motored from the Lone Star State. The .stable of John Allgeyer is expected to arrive from Latonia over the week-end, according to secretary Bury. J. J. Isaacson, promotive director of. the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting, announced that Tuesday and Friday of every week will be Ladles Day, and members of the fair sex will be admitted free. Paul Castle, former owner and trainer, is serving in the -.capacity of custodian of" the colors here. The second issue of the condition book will be ready for distribution about midweek, according to the present plans of E. W. Bury, who has started drafting the book. A. C. Nelson purchased the horses Big Moment, Junior Seth and Panout from W. T. Hess, and the latter will continue as trainer of the trio. Buddy Glass reported that there are fifty-two jockeys licensed thus far, and others are expected soon. The two-year-old Martie D., and the aged Sizzling arrived from Tanforan and will perform in the colors of Mrs. M. McBride. Regis Play, Brown Slippers and Wise Carmen were unloaded by J. C. Walhof. W. L. McCue will add Full Sail, a four-year-old maiden, and a two-year-old to his stable. The horses are en route from Chicago by van. Jockey Ralph Ayraud came in from Kansas City and was granted a license to. ride by the Nebraska Racing Commission.
