Bowies good fiveear-old unsexed son of Cudgel and Miss Hogan, galloped to the easiest victory of his career when he led to the finish J.. Cattarinichs Pestle by four lengths in the twenty-seventh running of the Quebec Kings Plate, an old feature of the Blue Bonnets course, in which only four were named, and the management ran it as a non-betting feature.. Smoke Ring, the property of J. N. Darcy, was in third -place before Mrs. J. Richards Stone Chatter. A gift of fifty guineas, a gift of His Majesty the King, accompanied the purse of 00, of which the winner received 25. The winner negotiated the nine furlongs in 1:55, four-fifths under the track record held by William T; and established in 1929. Another big crowd was on hand for the holiday sport, which was decided under dull skies but over a fast track. -
