DOC CONNER raced THUNDERDROP into defeat in the early running, took command entering the stretch, held on well, but was no match for the winner. SHOWMAN, well placed throughout, made up ground in the stretch run. THUNDERDROP quit badly. WRACKELL raced eyenly. SQUEAKY was away slowly. SECOND RACE 1 MILE Out of Chute. IMAGALE, fractious at the post, was placed on the outside and was away slowly, moved up fast in the opening quarter, was then taken in hand, took command after racing three-quarters and was under a mild drive at the end. CARISSA, rated in close attendance of the pace, came to the outside for the drive and was - wearing down the winner at the end. THUNDER LIGHT, closer to the pace than usual, closed a big gap in the final quarter. JOLLY GAL passed tiring horses in the stretch. GLISK possessed early speed, but quit-after racing three-quarters. ASSYRIAN PRINCE sprinted into the lead at once, was rated along in the lead, shook off repeated bids from ROSELYS and was under a stout drive at the end. ROSELYS, away slowly, was rushed to the leader on the outside in the back stretch and hung on gamely in the drive, although weakening badly. DAINTY BUD, well placed throughout, had no excuses. FOGGY DEW went evenly. MALABAR was away slowly and was far out of it all the way. ALL ROSES had early speed. IRISH KID wheeled when the start came and Was left. ELISE S. found difficulty in keeping tip in the early stages, swung to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. HEY KELLY, slow to settle into his best stride, gradually improved his position and closed a big gap. SHORT WAVE, in close quarters in the stretch run, was unable to get through. BUTTERFLY dropped back after showing in front from the beginning, then made up ground in the last quarter.
