LISSOM LAD obtained racing room on the inside of BONNIE SIGHT when moving to the front leaving the back stretch, opened up a clear lead entering the stretch when placed to punishment and had to be kept under stout urging to stall off LUMBERER. The latter bettered his position gamely in the late stages and was catching the winner steadily at the close. BARTON GAL improved her position on the outside and was Lest of the others. BONNIE SIGHT began tiring in the last five-sixteenths. KHAKI FULLER passed tiring horses. FIELD MOUSE was done after five-eighths. JUDGE POOL was hustled all the way, but could not threaten. THE CORNER, slow to settle into his best stride, moved up steadily when noaring the stretch, came determinedly when straightened into the stretch and was up inside the final sixteenth. BIG MARCH, promi-r.ent from the beginning, swerved to the inside when reaching the stretch, rallied to punishment and fought it out gamely. PATSY MACAW displaced WILLOW WAND when leaving the back stretch, drew clear at the stretch turn, but quit suddenly under punishment. DREAM KISS showed a dull effort. EASTER LAD lacked early speed and rould not reach contention. WILLOW WAND was done after a half mile. BLUE GUM had no mishaps. GOVERNOR BILL was placed on the outside and was never prominent. LEADGOLD moved into contention rapidly after a turn of the field, took an easy lead at the eleventh jump and held sway for the balance of the trip. CELERITAS, permitted to drop back off the pace, took a weaving course for the entire trip and was unable to menace when the real test came. GREATOREX was steadied to all of his fences, made a bad landing at the eleventh fence and fell back steadily after being overtaken. GRAINGER had plenty of speed all the way and is improving. JACKIE was held safe. PEKISKO raced strongly for the first mile, then tired and fell at the eleventh fence. WILFRID G. lost his rider at the ninth jump. Scratched 19373 Royal Rivet, 145. EASTER HATTER had much speed wliilo setting the pace, responded willingly when put to a strong drive and fought it out stubbornly when collared. LADY MARNOCK raced wide all the way and finished gamely. ROSEPATH could not engage the leaders. CHICKPEN, away poorly, closed a good gap. PAPALICO showed early speed. SPRING MOON was done early. PRETTY PATRICIA, shuffled back leaving the back stretch, moved up fast to assume a slight lead in the closing eighth and held on strongly to the end. ZOWIE moved up boldly rounding the turn, came through on the inside at the stretch turn, but tired fast in the last eighth. BLOND JESTER could not menace. DARK MISSION was rated in front, saved ground and held on gamely to withstand FORT DEARBORN. The latter, in hand during the early racing, rallied when put to a drive and was going stoutly at the end. PARADISE MAID showed a good effort. DEEDIE raced strongly for the first three-quarters, then tired. LUGANO began slowly and was never a factor. VIRADO was outrun. Overweight Dcedic, 1 pound.
