TOMYE was rushed into the lead soon after the break, but tired when challenged. ANIMOSITY broke slowly and closed strongly. SAINTE DESPOIR raced greenly. HARRY RICHMAN was far back throughout. HEADLINER, given a hustling ride, displayed good speed and "saved ground after the first eighth, but tired badly when the final test came.
