NINETEEN IN ALGER MEMORIAL Four Detroit Derby Eligibles Included in Nominations for Next Saturdays Motor City Feature. DETROIT, Mich., May 26 Nineteen handicap performers, including four eligibles for the Detroit Derby, to be renewed on Saturday, June 13, were nominated for the ,000 added Colonel Alger Memorial Handicap, that features Saturdays program. The Derby eligibles named for the mile and a sixteenth journey include Tugboat Frank, Flag Cadet, Bereit and Sachem. Fred M. Alger, Jr.s Azucar will attempt to make amends for his poor showing in the Wolverine Handicap and Stand Pat, E. F. Seagrams star, will be trying for his second victory in the rich stake. Marynell, which finished second to Stand Pat in the Wolverine, and Woodlander, which carried off minor honors, also were named. The list of eligibles and their owners follow: Fred M. Alger, Jr.s Azucar, Dark Winter and Polar Flight, Mrs. E. H. Bartletts Zev-son, Bomar Stables Billy Bee, Collinsbrook Stables Pompegret, A. Gaignard, Jr.s Sir Michael, F. A. Griffiths Sarada, B. Hernandez Woodlander and Flag Cadet, W. F. Lutz Bereit, Long Run Stables Marynell, J. L. Roberts Tugboat Frank, F. J. Ryan estates Sachem, Sycamore Stables Mickeys Man, E. F. Seagrams Stand Pat and Sablin, Spring Valley Stables Grand Rock, and H. W. and W. J. Youngs Safe and Sound.
