T LATONIA TURF NOTES . 4 Apprentice F. Finn arrived from Aurora and reported to his contract employer, Tom Devereaux. Former jockey Harry Hannah has Ormont Girl, Getalong and Miss Whiskaway here for Mrs. M. Davis and Joseph M. Jacobs. Glen Fowler checked in from Louisville, where he was convalescing after having hi3 tonsils removed. Fowler expects to swing into action Thursday and is under call to trainer J. T. Weaver, who is training the horses of W. E. Smith, of Louisville, and several other owners. Fowlers engagements will be made by his brother, B. Fowler. Morts Pal, Hill Jimmy and Flying Jay comprise the trio which Rudy Varwig, Cin-cinnatian, is campaigning at Latonia. Three horses are also in the stable of M. G. Wing. Hum and Stinger race in the interests of Wing and Woodard, while Green and Red carries the colors of Wing and Mat-tingly. Jockey Joe Cowley joined the local riding colony. He came from his home at Windsor, Canada, and reported to F. P. Letellier, for whom he will ride here. For various owners, J. C. Gillem, Kentucky horseman, is training the horse3 Sweeplike, a nominee for the Quickstep Handicap; Sail Along, Lady Democrat, Pharamond, China Town, Ona Boy, Red Raider, Griddlecake, and Mon Plaisie. Melvin Lewis, who on his first mount in a year, was thrown from Broadside King while at the post here Monday, was not seriously hurt but cancelled his mounts Tuesday.
