LOOK FOR BIG SALEM CROWD ew Hampshire Handicap Attraction for Half-Holiday in Mill Town Section Eighteen Named SALEM, N. H., May 26. The largest crowd of the meeting to date is expected tomorrow at Rockingham Park to witness the 3,000 mile New Hampshire Handicap, which has, drawn an excellent and top-heavy field of three-year-olds. Wednesday is a half-holiday in the mill towns in this section and throngs from Lawrence, Meuthen, iLowell and other points are expected to augment the usual Boston crowd, which makes Jip the greater part of the week-day patronage. j No less than eighteen have accepted over-might in the stake, with the Kentucky Oaks winner, Two Bob, and Gleeman, which took the Commando Handicap at Belmont Saturday, heading the field. They loom up as almost equal choices in the betting. Two Sob carries the G. V. Whitney silks and jGleeman belongs to that young sportsmans cousin, John Hay Whitney. George Rose, .who rode" Trumpery to a surprise score in the opening day feature here, will be on Two Bob and Johnny Gilbert will pilot .Gleeman. A. G. Vanderbilt is sending a formidable entry to the post in Balkan Lad and Sobriety. The former is a bad post horse but holds plenty of speed although Sobriety is the better of the pair on form. New England will be represented by Weston Adams good three-year-old, Gallant Gay. Mrs. Edward Haughton will send out Black Highbrow. The Houston sportswoman, Mrs. Jake Freed-jnan, will have Little Nymph in the race and A. G. Tarn will try with both Faust and Miss Bam. Entries for the eight races have filled well and an interesting day of sport is promised for the mid-week racing.
