CARELESS KNIGHT, kept under strong urging in the early running while following BOBS FIRST, came through on the inside to displace the pacemaker entering the stretch and was hard ridden to the end. BOBS FIRST had good speed while setting the pace, raced wide into the stretch anil came again after being overtaken. CESSNA raced forwardly from the beginning, but could not improve her position. LADY CHALLENGE could not menace when put to a hard drive. STOCKWOOD raced well. PLAYFUL BOSTON was outrun. The others were never factors. BIG ONE, going in its best form and close up from the beginning, moved into the lead with a rush when straightened into the stretch, but had to be stoutly ridden to withstand HAPPY FIND. The latter improved her position on the outside until reaching the stretch, slipped through on the inside thereafter and finished determinedly. BARTER had good speed while setting the pace, but tired when caught. SYNDIC closed full of run from a slow beginning and lost considerable ground. CARDAMON raced evenly. ROUGH WATERS tired. DUNLINS LAD lacked speed. JUBILARGO was awav poorly and had no chance. STEFAN JR., in good form and going strongly from the beginning, lost command momentarily at the sixth jump, raced BUCK AND WING into submission and drew out at will when clearing the seventh fence. BUCK AND WING, lull of run from the beginning, challenged stoutly at the sixth jump, but faltered badly thereafter. GALABANG moved up menacingly after a turn of the field, but flattened out badly when the real test came. GIFT ROMAN was never a factor. FAIR DIANA was held safe. Scratched 25862 Justi, 135. MOMIJI, hustled into a forward position, swung to the outside when reaching the leaders, closed determinedly when straightened into the stretch and was up right at the close. CANDY FEAST followed close to the leaders, assumed command in the closing eighth and held on courageously approaching the finish. UVIRA, in much trouble in the first five eighths, obtained racing room midway of the stretch and closed with a belated rush. BEECHVIEW improved her position slowly. PENABUD broke into the air when the start came, moved into contention swiftly, but had too much taken out of her and she tired. CHALGO could not engage the leaders. The latter, in the thick of contention, rallied gamely but could not make up any ground at the end. SUE JONES had good carlv speed, shook off GINGERY, but tired in the last quarter mile. GINGERY showed a good effort. FEDERAL RESERVE finished gamely on the inside. LAST STAND showed early speed and met with slight interference. POT AU MINT, GRAND VIEW and MUELLER were away poorly. MISS GORMLEY raced under slight restraint while following ANACREON, took command when ready, but failed to withstand the winner. ATTIC BIRD raced prominently all the way and held on well for the closing drive. TROUBANOVA lost ground while improving her position. DIE CAST raced well placed, but was not good enough.
