t RIVERSIDE PARK NOTES v : J. Harry Patterson, field representative of the Thoroughbred Horse Owners and Trainers Association and representative of the Thoroughbred Bulletin, is a visitor at Riverside Park, working in the interests of his association. High Devine, which staged a comeback this year, went lame during a work here Thursday morning, and it. is not likely that the horse will be able to start at this meeting. L. Copenhaver, who holds the contract on C. Shultz, leading apprentice rider at Bay Meadows, sent word from Omaha that- he would bring Shultz here several times during the meeting to ride. Joe Dominick, who is probably one of, the oldest riders in active service, took but a license. Wax, the property of C. Phelps, arrived from Aurora. The large stable of Dr. C. N. Finch arrived from Aurora. In the Finch stable were High Devine, Pat C, Paul T., Goforth. Gold Ti, Sir Western, Drinkwater, General Boy, Scarp, Calawee, Duckie D. and Miss Moo. Among the older riders that have taken out licenses are D. Gray, F. Zilbourn, T. King, J. Scurlock, R. Bohn, J. Dillea, W. Robertson, J. Martin, J. Kinnard, W. Brown, D. Sykes, D. Barnett, H. Duncan, C. Hart, C. Trippy, B. Wimmer, R. Neves, E. Stalling, G. Green-wood and J. Frederick. The apprentices granted licenses were F. Ward. E. De Pxang F. Miller, J. Donoho, H. P. Ferguson and Jj. Remkes. T. Deahle, with one horse, Fayette Prince arrived Thursday from Texas. Lerack and Whisk K., belonging to F Shultz, arrived from Texas. The Gillispie Land and Irrigation Company, which conducts a large breeding establishment at Gila Bend, Ariz., arrived from the latter point with eight head, sevenTf which are two-year-olds.
