PAWTTJCKET MUTTJEL HANDLE PAWTUCKET. R. I., May 28. During its recent nineteen-day meeting, from May 2 to May 23, Narragansett Park handled ,021,-572 in mutuel pools. Of that total 06,486 was wagered on the "Daily Double." The average daily handle was 22,188. With six and one-half per cent going to the track and three and one-half per cent accruing j to the state, the Narragansett organization , received 21,402.18 and the state 80,755.02. The handle fell below 00,000 on only two days during the meeting, on May 4 and May 5, the second and third days of the session.
