FORGET NOT raced back of the leaders most of the trip, made a game effort in the stretch, but could never menace the winner. REVELISH raced evenly at all times. The latter, well back for a half mile and forced to race wide entering the stretch, closed gamely, but could not get up. DANARCO, used up racing WHO into submission, tired after taking a brief lead entering the stretch. WHO showed speed for three-eighths. HAPPY HOST raced in spots. THIRD RACE 5 1-2 FURLONGS. KNIGHTS HOPE, hard ridden all the way, made up some ground in the stretch, but could not reach the winner. ADAMS EVE dropped back at the turn, but came again during the final sixteenth. ITALIAN HARRY, far back for a half mile, came with a belated rush in the middle of the stretch in the last quarter. MAPLE SUE could never improve its position. KINDACORN dropped back right at the start, trailed the field until entering the stretch, was forced to come to the outside of the field to secure clear racing room, then finished well, but could not get up to the leader. GOODY GOODY, well up at all times, tired after taking command in the stretch. HEEDLESS GAL, used up racing STEP MISS into defeat, tired. STEP MISS quit badly after forcing all the early pace. PACKAGE, gaining steadily, worked his way between horses coming into the stretch and responding with rare courage, got up to catch WEE WINK in the last couple of strides. The latter opened up a long lead on the far turn, but tired suddenly during the last furlong when appearing to have the race at her mercy. COHORT MISS dropped out of contention in the run around the first turn, and made up some ground to pass tiring horses during the stretch run. DONA DULCIN possessed much early speed, but tired after going three-quarters. TAUNTON appeared to sulk during the running and would not extend himself. MONEY MUDDLE tired after going five furlongs. SOUND MONEY, well placed, made a bid after straightening out in the stretch and just failed to get up, though she was wearing the winner down at the end. BRIGHT BIRD rushed to the pacemakers task at the first turn, made all the running, but was ridden out to the utmost to hold off FOGARTY. The latter, in close quarters going to the first turn, was forced back, taken to the outside midway of the back stretch, moved up with a rush on the stretch turn, closed resolutely and was wearing the winner down in the closing strides. HOME WORK dropped out of contention right after the start, worked its way up on the outside on the stretch turn, but swerved down to the inner! rail midway of the stretch turn. REPEAL raced evenly at all times. PATIENT SAINT attempted to follow the winners early pace but tired badly in the last quarter. JAMES BOY quit. ;
