WINS CORONATION GOLD CUP Special Cablegram. EPSOM DOWNS, England, May 28 Lord Derbys Plassy, one of the favored starters, won the Coronation Gold Cup, run over the mile and a half Derby course here today. Sir Abe Baileys pair, Cecil and Robin Good-fellow, finished second and third respectively. Plassy, winner of his two previous starts this season, including the March Stakes at Newmarket, scored by three quarters of a length. Robin Goodfellow finished second to Bahram in the Derby last year He is a son of Bosworth and Pladda. Wil-ham Woodwards Omaha, eligible for the Coronation Cup, did not start, Capt Cecil Boyd-Rochfort, reserving him for the two-mile Queens Plate at Kempton Park Saturday. On his victory today, Plassy is rated the most dangerous rival of Omaha in the Gold Cup, which will be run at Ascot, Juno 17. Plassy was well backed today at 11 to 8.
