DIXIE PRINCESS displayed good speed, opened up a comfortable lead ncaring the stretch, but was unable to stave off the bid of the winner. RADIATOR was a forward factor all the way, but was unable to kec pace under punishment. GIANTESS closed some ground. GOLD CLIP, away fast, displayed good speed for the first half mile, faltering in the closing drive. PROSY was unable to reach the leaders. HANDY BAGGAGE was away slowly. SAY WHEN displayed speed from the start, disposed of JACK O SPADES when the latter attempted to go along with him and drew out in the stretch run. PERCENT, slow to begin and a trailer for the opening three-eighths, came to the outside in the stretch and closed with a rush. PREVARICATE moved up steadily on the outside leaving the back stretch, was unable to reach the leader and tired slightly in the closing drive. SQUARE, well placed but unable to gain ample racing room early, faltered in the last quarter mile. JACK O SPADES had good speed for the first three-eighths, tiring thereafter. BYE BYE MARY was steadied along in back of the pace, wore down STRANGE TIMES for the lead before reaching the stretch and, hard ridden, lasted to stave off the closing challenge of BLESSED EVENT. The latter, outrun early, came to the outside in the stretch, closed with a rush and got up in the final strides to draw on even terms with BYE BYE MARY. TORNADIC forced the early pace and held on stubbornly, but was unable to cope with the bids of the first two. BULL MARKET closed a big gap. BENDER FIRST was well placed, hut was unable to improve his position in. the drive. STRANGE TIMES displayed good speed in pacemakine:, then faltered after nearing the stretch. STICKHANDLE was never aT threat. MOON ROSE suffered some interference -in the openine half mile.
