LAT0NIA TURF NOTES a Otto Bagley, trainer for the Old Gold Stable, made preparations to ship Transmutable back to Hawthorne following his engagement in the Quickstep Handicap. Jockey A. Fermin, who accompanied Transmutable to Latonia, also returned to Chicago. Charles Gormley, who was knocked unconscious when kicked by Holdum Brown while in the paddock Thursday, did not suffer any ill effects and was back at his post today. Jockey J. Carnahan reported to Carl Meyer, trainer of the A. A. Young racers and was granted a license to ride at Latonia. He will do most of the riding for Meyer during the remainder of the meeting.
