, t ? BELMONT PARK NOTES 4 : Jockey J. Bejshak suffered a broken collar bone when he fell from Cherry Orchard in the first race and was removed to the Mary Immaculate Hospital for treatment. J. Simon Healy, recovered from influenza, made his first appearance in a month. George Odom received a telegram in which he was instructed not to file any more tips. Odom turned the matter over to the Pinker-ton agency, which is seeking to trace those who have been using his name in this respect. Odom in all his career on the turf never sent telegrams in reference to racing information and will prosecute the perpetrators if they are discovered. Jockey K. Knott will report at Rockingham Park on Monday to ride for the J. H. Whitney division racing at that point in charge of W. Norton. Islay, a three-year-old filly owned by the Peconic Stable, was destroyed Saturday morning. The filly snapped an ankle while breezing. She was purchased one year ago out of the Audley Farm dispersal sale. Count Morse, owned by the Calumet Farm, is due here on Monday to fulfill his engagement in toie Belmont Stakes. He will be given his final prep by trainer Bert Williams. Henry Pebler, former racing secretary at Aqueduct, was among the visitor Saturday afternoon. Mae Skilling, owned by Dan Skilling, was shipped to Virginia and will go to the court of Crack Brigade, according to trainer E. Hodgson. Jimmie Ross, of the Havre de Grace Association, arrived from Maryland to witness the Suburban. Knowing, owned by Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin, will be on the shelf for some time. The colt popped a splint, which accounted for his poor race on Friday. Funeral services and interment for Mrs. Walter Coburn will be held on Tuesday at Youngstown, Ohio. She died suddenly in San Francisco last week. Local horsemen were highly pleased when word was received that Omaha won his second victory in England, and he will have a host of well wishers for the Ascot Gold Cup.
