WOODBINE PARK NOTES . j t Another innovation will be introduced by general manager William R. Woollatt during the meeting of the Thorncliffe Racing and Breeding Association, beginning Tuesday next. Each day during the meeting a holder j of a paid admission ticket will be selected by lot to act as "official greeter" for the host organization and for his or her services a prize of 0 will be given by the management. Fred S. Livingston, secretary-treasurer of the Thorncliffe Racing and Breeding Association, in company with general manager William R. Woollatt and R. McArthur, made the final inspection of Thorncliffe Park last week and pronounced the grounds in perfect condition for the opening on Tuesday next. Little work remains to be done in the mutuel department which will be under the supervision of R. W. Crashley and R. McArthur, caretaker of the track, has the crew constantly at work keeping the surface in proper condition. For the convenience of horsemen unable to obtain stabling accommodations and who are remaining at Woodbine Park for the seven-day meeting at Thorncliffe, the Thorncliffe Racing and Breeders Association has arranged to provide transfer service for horses that are named to start during the meeting at the Leaside track. Judge F. A. Middieton, one of the directors of the Thorncliffe Racing and Breeding Association, wired officials of that association that he was leaving New Orleans and would be present for the opening on June 2. W. R. Woollatt stated that the "Daily Double" system of wagering would obtain on the first and second races during the meeting at Thorncliffe Park and that the "One-two" system would be employed on the fourth and seventh races. Both of these features have proved popular in past seasons.
