HORSES IN TRAINING , SOLD Consignments From Sanford Farms, L. Keiffer and G. D. Widener Auctioned at Belmont. NEW YORK, N. Y May 30. The first sale of horses in training this season was held in the old paddock before the running of the first race at Belmont Park under the auspices of the Fasig-Tipton Company. Consignments were from Sanford Stud Farms, Leslie Keiffer, G. D. Widener and others. Bidding on the choice lots was of a spirited nature, and on the whole good prices were realized. The top prices from the Sanford Stud Farms were received for Golden Meadow, the steeplechaser, and the flat racer Black Grouse, purchased by Larry Carey, acting as agent, for ,500 each. N. B. Spingold purchased Delcraine out of the same consignment for ,100. The vendue was attended by a large crowd, which included several arrivals from outside points.
