RIVERSIDES LARGEST CROWD KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 30. By far the largest crowd that ever attended a race meeting in this city turned out at Riverside Memorial Day to witness the holiday offering of eight races. Long before 1 oclock the stand and clubhouse were packed and the highways were packed with cars that were crawling along at a snails pace, striving to reach the trideal weather conditions prevailed for the holiday program, and a splendid program of eiht races was offered by racing secretary , t MH Morrison with the seventh event, the Memorial Day Handicap, being the feature offering. The race at the one mile route attracted the best field of thoroughbreds that ever paraded to the post at Riverside It is evident, judging from the vast multitude, that Riverside Park with its better grade of horseflesh is going to appeal to the race-minded citizens of Kansas City, and preparations and plans are now being formed by the management to enlarge the plant in order to give the patrons a more fc uptodate track.
