SCREEN rushed to the front midway of the back stretch, opened up a long lead and was never in danger at any time. SIR KAI broke slowly, raced up fast after reaching the far turn, made a good effort, but could not reach the winner. ADVOCATE JUNIOR, away well, dropped back slightly early, then came on well in the last quarter. TIMBUCTOO, outrun for a half mile, made up much ground. THE BOUNCER was slightly bothered at the far turn and would not extend himself thereafter. CHARMED EYES quit badly after showing some speed for a half mile. Scratched Maple Mint, 114. COME BY CHANCE moved up with a rush while rounding the stretch turn, secured command midway of the stretch, but was doing its best at the end to hold off SIR WINDSOR. The latter, well up at all times, saved ground next to the inner rail, came again under pressure and just failed to get up. MAD DASH broke well, but was shuffled back, was forced to go wide to secure clear racing room and finished with a belated rush. PEGGY MINE forced the early pace, but tired when the real test came. GOLDEN KEY was rushed up on the outside as the field reached the far turn, disposed of RIDING HIGH, but was doing its best to hold off TAUNTON. The latter broke sluggishly, followed the field until reaching the stretch, came with a belated rush while racing on the extreme outside and would have won in a few more yards. LADY HOCKBERGER, away well, raced close to the pace at all times and finished going stoutly. RIDING HIGH showed much early speed, but tired when the real test came. FAIRSICKLE, steadied around the first turn, was sent up on the outside with a rush going down the back stretch, secured command just before entering the stretch, drew into a clear lead, but tired again right at the end and was doing its best to hold off SUN APOLLO. The latter, closest to the pace in the early stages, took a brief lead after reaching the half-mile post, but hung when called upon entering the stretch, and came again under punishment in the last few yards. DOWDY DELL, away fast, cut over sharply in the run to the first turn, made the early pace, but could not threaten in the last part. PACKAGE, crowded back going around the first turn, appeared to sulk the remainder of the trip. MASTER LAD, shuffled back going to the first turn, could not get up. The latter, used up racing WISE ANNE into defeat, secured a lead entering the stretch, but could not hold the winner off. WISE ANNE, a fast breaker, took command immediately, could not get clear, but held on well, though tiring all the last eighth. ANEROID, well up at all times, was easily the best of the others. PRINCE FOX lacked early foot, made up much ground rounding the final turn and finished strongly. SINGING HEART broke well, but dropped right out of it and showed a dull effort. DANCING CLOUD followed DONA DULCIN until midway of the back stretch, then took command, drew clear, but swerved entering the stretch and was under hard urging in the last quarter to maintain its advantage. LIGHT BROOK, in hand back of the pace, slipped up on the inner rail in the final sixteenth to catch KINDACORN in the last stride. The latter came around the leaders with a rush on the stretch turn, but was bothered when the winner swerved, then tired again in the last stages while under pressure. CRESTON, well handled, was reserved off the pace until reaching the stretch, turn, moved up when called upon and, closing gamely, outlasted TIGHT WAD. The latter slipped through between the leaders entering the stretch to secure command, but faltered again when the final test came. MISCHIEFMAKER gained steadily from a slow beginning and finished full of run. POPO, used up racing REVELISH into defeat, tired in the last quarter mile. GOLDEN PLAY had no excuses. REVELISH set a fast pase most of the trip, tired badly during the final sixteenth after crossing the finish line, stumbled and threw its rider. PAT W. came around the leaders on the stretch turn, met with serious interference in the last eighth and was undoubtedly best. GEORGIA LILY saved much ground around the stretch turn, but was not good enough. HE DEVIL showed fine early speed, but tired in the stretch. PANCOAST acted badly at the post and could not keep up.
