- H PAY-OFF OF DEAD HEATS In the dead heat in the third race at Rockingham Park, Saturday, May 30, wagers made away from the track the chart prices should prevail if track odds were offered and accepted. Where house odds were accepted, the procedure should be as follows: If was bet on each horse and 5 to 1 laid on Bye Bye Mary, the pay-off should J be .00 to the bettor and .00 to the layer; if 4 to 1 was laid on Blessed Event, the pay-off should be .50 to the player and .50 to the layer. The same procedure should be followed in the other dead heat at Rockingham Park as well as at Detroit, the amount of money bet, plus the odds laid, with the total divided equally between the bettor and layer, being the regular method of pay-off in dead heats where bookmaking odd3 prevail.
